We are looking for a highly skilled and detail-oriented Pattern Master to join our design / production team. The Pattern Master will be responsible for developing, refining and maintaining high-quality patterns that translate design concepts into production-ready templates. This role requires strong technical understanding of garment construction or the relevant product category, excellent collaboration with designers & production, and proficiency both in traditional and digital pattern-making tools. Key Responsibilities Interpret design sketches, technical drawings, and sample garments to develop accurate master patterns. Create, grade, and adjust patterns across multiple sizes ensuring fit, alignment, and proportions are maintained. Work closely with designers, sample makers, and production teams to resolve fitting issues; take feedback and iterate patterns accordingly. Convert sample patterns into production patterns; ensure pattern files are production-ready with all necessary markings, notches, seam allowances, grain lines etc. Maintain and organize a pattern archive / library — both physical and digital — so patterns are accessible, version controlled, and retrievable. Ensure pattern integrity: correct tolerances, consistency across batches, minimal waste of material. Suggest and implement improvements / optimizations in pattern workflows, construction methods, cutting layout, etc. Train and mentor junior pattern makers / assistants (if applicable). Stay updated on pattern-making technologies, software, and industry trends; implement best practices. Coordinate with production / cutting / manufacturing teams to ensure the pattern is feasible, cost-efficient, and manufacturable. Required Qualifications & Skills Education: Diploma / Bachelor’s in Fashion Design, Apparel / Textile Technology, Industrial Design or a similar field. Experience: Minimum 3-5 years of hands-on experience in pattern making in the garment / apparel industry (or relevant industry if different). More years for senior roles. Proficient in both traditional pattern-making techniques (paper, draping) and digital tools / CAD systems (e.g. Gerber, Lectra, Optitex, etc.). Strong understanding of fabrics, garment construction, fit, sewing techniques. Solid skills in grading patterns across sizes, understanding of size charts, tolerances, fit variations. Excellent eye for detail, precision and quality. Good communication and collaboration skills: ability to take feedback, explain pattern-related issues, guide cross-functional teams. Ability to manage multiple projects / designs simultaneously; strong time management. Problem-solving mindset: able to troubleshoot fit issues, pattern inconsistencies, etc. Familiarity with international / local manufacturing constraints, cost considerations, material wastage etc. Preferred / Additional Skills Experience with luxury / high-end clothing / special fabric types (if relevant). Experience in designing and grading for special product categories (e.g. outerwear, knitwear, etc.). Knowledge of sustainable pattern-making practices (reducing fabric waste, using more efficient layouts, etc.). Leadership or supervisory experience. What We Offer Competitive salary and benefits package. Opportunity to work with creative design teams in a dynamic environment. Exposure to both design and production sides — end-to-end pattern workflow. Professional development — learning new tools & methods. A chance to impact quality, fit, and look & feel of our products. Job Type: Full-time Pay: ₹50,000.00 - ₹70,000.00 per month Work Location: In person
