Design & Development Create moodboards, color cards, prints, borders, pallus & blouse concepts aligned to partner brands. Prepare tech packs, BOMs, measurements, and print-ready files. Coordinate sampling → approvals → production handover. Tailoring & Pattern Work (Hands-on) Pattern drafting & draping for blouses (princess cut, padded, corset, halter, boat, deep back, bridal), petticoats, and trims. Precision measurements & fittings; manage alterations with a high-quality finish. Cutting & stitching across delicate bases: silk, organza, tissue, chiffon, georgette, satin, cotton-silk. Saree finishing: fall & pico, edging/rolled hem, tassels/latkans, hooks/loops, shoulder pads, cups, hemming and hand-finish details. Sample stitching end-to-end; document construction notes for production. Guide junior tailors, ensure size grading & repeatability. Quality & Production Check seam quality, puckering, grain alignment, print/border placement. Approve PP samples, maintain spec tolerances, and reduce rework. Work with sourcing/QA to hit timelines, margin, and scalability. Must-haves Strong portfolio in sarees & blouses + demonstrable tailoring Skilled in pattern making, cutting, stitching, and finishing for ethnic womenswear. Confident on single-needle, overlock, interlock, rolled-hem/pico, bar-tack machines; neat hand-finish. Adobe Illustrator/Photoshop for specs & prints; Excel/Sheets for BOMs/costing. Excellent eye for fit, drape, and motif scale; fast, accurate execution.
