We are seeking a knowledgeable and experienced Teaching Faculty member to lead and teach API 510, API 570, API 571, and API 653 certification courses. The ideal candidate will possess in-depth technical expertise in pressure vessel inspection, piping systems, corrosion control, and aboveground storage tank inspections, along with a passion for teaching and sharing knowledge with students seeking certification in these fields. Location: Blastline Institute, Kochi Key Responsibilities: Course Delivery & Instruction: Deliver high-quality instruction for API 510, 570, 571, and 653 certification courses in a classroom or online setting. Develop and present course materials, including lectures, assignments, and practical exercises. Ensure that course content is up to date with industry standards and the latest code revisions. Assist candidates in online examination enrollment process Facilitate discussions, answer student questions, and engage in one-on-one student support as needed. Curriculum Development: Assist in the creation and continual enhancement of course curricula and teaching materials. Update course content to reflect changes in industry practices, safety standards, and API codes. Assessment & Evaluation: Administer tests, quizzes, and practical evaluations to assess students’ comprehension and skills. Provide timely and constructive feedback to students to aid in their learning and exam preparation. Track and report student progress and achievement in alignment with program goals. Industry Expertise & Continuing Education: Stay up-to-date with developments in the API codes, industry standards, and best practices. Participate in relevant industry seminars, workshops, or conferences and bring insights back to the classroom. Guide students on real-world applications and practical experiences, leveraging personal field experience when applicable. Administrative & Program Support: Collaborate with other faculty members and program managers to improve course quality and program delivery. Maintain accurate records of student attendance, grades, and certifications. Assist with accreditation and compliance requirements as needed. Qualifications: Educational Background Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Materials Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field. (Advanced degree preferred) Professional Certifications: Must hold current API 510, API 570, API 571 , and API 653 certifications. Additional certifications in related inspection standards or codes (e.g., ASNT, NACE) are highly desirable. Experience: Minimum of 5 years of professional experience in inspection, maintenance, and integrity management of pressure vessels, piping systems, corrosion control, or aboveground storage tanks. Prior teaching experience or professional training is preferred. Strong knowledge of relevant industry codes, standards, and regulations (e.g., ASME, API, ASNT, NACE, OSHA, etc.). Skills: Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal. Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously. Ability to explain complex technical concepts in an easily understandable manner. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite or similar software for course preparation, grading, and communication. Work Environment: Classroom or virtual environment – depending on the course format. Occasional travel may be required for site inspections or workshops (if applicable).
