Job Description We are seeking a detail-oriented Mechanical Draftsman to join our dynamic team at BISON® AMETEK to create accurate 2D and 3D drawings. The ideal candidate should possess extensive expertise in CAD modeling, drafting standards, and engineering documentation in the SolidWorks CAD tool. Duties And Responsibilities Include Prepare detailed 2D drawings and 3D models for mechanical & electrical components and assemblies using CAD tools for motors, pumps, blowers and gearmotors. Revise and update drawings based on engineering changes (ECN’s), customer requirements, or quality feedback. Support on bulk updates and standardization of CAD drawings to ensure consistency across CAD databases. Create BOMs (Bill of Materials) and maintain drawing documentation in PLM systems. Interpret and convert concept sketches and engineering inputs into accurate technical drawings. Support prototype and production teams by providing clear and accurate documentation. Maintain and organize drawing databases, part lists, and associated documentation for configuration control. Develop manufacturing and assembly drawings with proper GD&T application and tolerance stack-up considerations. Mandatory Skills Diploma in Mechanical Engineering with a minimum of 3 to 6 years of Drafting experience in electro-mechanical component design Proficiency in SolidWorks modules: Part Design, Assembly Design, Sheet Metal Design & Surface Design Strong knowledge of mechanical drafting principles and best practices Provide technical support for existing products to upgrade and support ECN’s implementation Preferred Skills Experience working in the gearmotors, blowers or pumps industries Exposure to creating and maintaining documentation for best practices, design guidelines, and lessons learned
