Job Title: Biology Teacher – AS and A Level Location: universal school , Tardeo Employment Type: Full-Time Job Summary: We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Biology Teacher to teach AS and A Level students under the Cambridge International curriculum (or equivalent). The ideal candidate will have strong subject knowledge, especially in molecular biology, genetics, ecology, and human physiology, and a proven ability to prepare students for advanced-level exams and practical assessments. Key Responsibilities: Deliver high-quality instruction in Biology to students in AS and A Level programs, aligned with the Cambridge curriculum. Prepare and execute lesson plans that foster analytical thinking, scientific inquiry, and practical skills. Conduct practical laboratory sessions as required by the syllabus (including preparation for Papers 3 & 5). Develop schemes of work, instructional materials, and formative/summative assessments. Track and evaluate student performance, providing feedback to support academic growth. Use a variety of teaching methods and technologies to engage different learning styles. Guide students preparing for university placements in life sciences, medicine, and related fields. Maintain a safe, organized, and resourceful lab environment in compliance with safety regulations. Collaborate with colleagues in planning interdisciplinary activities and school science fairs. Participate in school events, parent-teacher meetings, training workshops, and departmental reviews. Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Biology, Life Sciences, or a related discipline (Master’s preferred). B.Ed., PGCE, or equivalent teaching certification is preferred. Minimum 2–3 years of experience teaching Biology at AS and A Level (Cambridge International preferred). In-depth understanding of Cambridge assessment criteria, grading, and exam paper structure. Experience in managing Biology labs and demonstrating practical experiments. Preferred Skills: Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to motivate and inspire students toward academic excellence and scientific curiosity. Familiarity with tools like Google Classroom, interactive whiteboards, and virtual lab platforms. Knowledge of differentiated instruction strategies for varied student abilities. Willingness to contribute to co-curricular activities like science clubs, Olympiads, and biology competitions.
