Overview:

Medical Coding is the process of converting patient health information into alphanumeric codes. Coders translate medical reports from doctors including patient conditions, diagnoses, prescriptions, and procedures into a standard set of codes. These codes form a crucial part of the medical claims process used for billing, insurance, and healthcare records.
