Bioinformatics Associate

Position: Bioinformatics Associate – Child Health Project

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented individual with a background in bioinformatics (freshers welcome) to join our interdisciplinary research team. The project focuses on discovering novel biomarkers and understanding growth, neurodevelopment, and metabolic health in children, using advanced high-throughput platforms and multi-omics data.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist with analysis of large-scale proteomics and clinical datasets.
• Perform data cleaning, quality checks, and integration of biological and phenotypic data.
• Apply bioinformatics tools for statistical analysis, visualization, and interpretation of results.
• Support the team in documentation, data management, and reporting.
• Collaborate with clinicians, laboratory scientists, and data analysts.

Desired Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Bioinformatics, Computational Biology, Biotechnology, or related field.
• Basic experience in R/Python or other data analysis tools (academic projects/internships acceptable).
• Understanding of omics data analysis and statistics (proteomics, genomics, or transcriptomics preferred).
• Strong attention to detail, willingness to learn, and ability to work in a multidisciplinary team.
• Good written and verbal communication skills.
