Key Responsibilities 1. Material Receiving Receive materials delivered to the site. Check quantity and quality as per Purchase Order (PO). Coordinate with vendors for shortages or damaged materials. Enter received materials into stock register or ERP software. 2. Material Issuing Issue materials to site engineers, supervisors, and contractors. Maintain proper records of issued items (date, quantity, purpose). Ensure materials are issued only on approved requisition slips. 3. Inventory Management Maintain accurate inventory of cement, steel, sand, tiles, electrical, plumbing & other construction items. Update stock levels daily to avoid material shortages. 4. Documentation & Reporting Maintain GRN (Goods Receipt Note), Issue Slips, Delivery Challans, and Stock Registers. Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly stock reports. Ensure compliance with company policies for material movement. 5. Store Organization Arrange materials in a clean, systematic manner. Label materials properly for easy identification. Ensure safe storage of cement, steel, chemicals, and tools. 6. Coordination Coordinate with Purchase Department for material requirements. Inform Project Manager of low stock or urgent needs. Work with site engineers to plan material requirements for upcoming work. 7. Tool & Equipment Management Maintain records of tools issued to workers and technicians. Schedule servicing for equipment like mixers, vibrators, drilling machines, etc. Track return of issued tools to prevent loss/damage.
