Job Description

As an automation specialist at Mott MacDonald, you will play a crucial role in developing, deploying, and maintaining automation tools/scripts for various BIM platforms. Your expertise in C# programming and Revit API development will be instrumental in creating custom solutions to enhance productivity and model accuracy. You will also be responsible for integrating automation outputs with other initiatives such as Power Apps, AI/ML, Power BI dashboards, and reporting platforms. Your excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder management abilities will be key in driving the success of automation projects. Additionally, you will have the opportunity to evaluate and implement emerging technologies like AI/ML, cloud collaboration, digital twins, and design automation. As a mentor to a team of automation specialists, you will provide technical leadership and training to support their professional development. Key Responsibilities: - Develop, deploy, and maintain automation tools/scripts for Revit, Dynamo, Navisworks, and other BIM platforms. - Create custom solutions using C#, Python, and Revit API to improve productivity and model accuracy. - Integrate automation outputs with other initiatives such as Power Apps, AI/ML, Power BI dashboards, and other reporting platforms. - Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder management abilities. - Strong problem-solving skills with a balance of technical depth and business impact. - Evaluate and implement emerging technologies such as AI/ML, cloud collaboration, digital twins, and design automation. - Mentor a team of automation specialists, providing technical leadership and training. Required Skills: - C# programming - Revit API development - BIM platforms: Autodesk Revit, Navisworks, ACC/BIM 360, Bentley MicroStation, etc. - Version control systems: GitHub, Azure DevOps - Cloud collaboration tools: Autodesk Construction Cloud, BIM Collaborate Pro - Dynamo scripting Required Qualifications: - Bachelors or masters degree in architecture, Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field. - 7 years of overall AEC/BIM experience, with 5 years of professional coding experience.
