Role & responsibilities 1. GST Compliance & Indirect Taxation: Assist in preparation and timely filing of GSTR-1, GSTR-3B, and annual returns. Support reconciliation of GST input credits and tax liabilities. Coordinate with consultants and ensure compliance with GST laws and updates. Assist in GST audits, departmental notices, and assessments. 2. Statutory & Internal Audits: Participate in internal audit processes, risk assessments, and internal controls. Assist in statutory audit preparation, coordination with external auditors, and finalization of accounts. Prepare audit schedules and documentation as per audit requirements. 3. Direct Taxation: Support in preparation and filing of TDS returns, income tax computations, and advance tax workings. Ensure compliance with tax provisions applicable to NBFCs. Handle basic tax reconciliations and assist in tax assessments and notices. 4. Accounting & Financial Reporting (Ind AS): Assist in day-to-day accounting and month-end closure activities. Support in preparation of financial statements as per Ind AS applicable to NBFCs. Work on provisioning, asset classification, and reporting requirements unique to NBFCs. Ensure documentation and accounting of transactions in compliance with RBI guidelines. 5. MIS & Financial Analysis: Contribute to preparation of MIS reports, financial analysis, and variance reports. Assist in preparing data for Board and regulatory reporting. 6. Regulatory Compliance (NBFC-Specific): Understand and support compliance under RBI Master Directions for NBFCs. Maintain proper documentation for KYC, audit trails, and policy compliance. Coordinate with internal stakeholders to ensure timely data submission to regulators. Preferred candidate profile Strong understanding of GST, Direct Tax, and Accounting standards (Ind AS). Basic knowledge of NBFC functioning and regulatory environment (preferred). Proficiency in MS Excel and accounting software (Tally, SAP, etc.). Good analytical and problem-solving skills. Strong communication and coordination abilities. Eagerness to learn and grow within the NBFC domain.
