Big Data (Hadoop) Support Engineer

As a Technical Support Engineer specializing in Big Data applications and systems within the Hadoop ecosystem, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation, performance, and security of our data infrastructure. Your responsibilities will include providing technical support and troubleshooting for Big Data applications, monitoring system performance, collaborating with engineering teams to deploy and configure Hadoop clusters, and assisting in maintenance and upgrades of Hadoop environments. You should possess a strong understanding of Hadoop components such as HDFS, MapReduce, Hive, and Pig, as well as experience with system monitoring and diagnostics tools. Proficiency in Linux/Unix commands and scripting languages like Bash and Python is essential, along with a basic understanding of database technologies and data warehousing concepts. Strong problem-solving skills, excellent communication, and interpersonal abilities are also key requirements for this position.
