BI Lead

Role & responsibilities Role Overview We are seeking a skilled Business Intelligence Lead to serve as a senior individual contributor while managing a small team within our BI department. The ideal candidate will combine hands-on technical expertise in PowerBI with team leadership capabilities to deliver data solutions that drive business success. Key Responsibilities Serve as the primary technical expert for PowerBI development, implementing complex ETL processes and DAX calculations Lead a small team of BI professionals, providing technical guidance and mentorship Translate business requirements into comprehensive dashboards and visualizations Design and develop scalable data solutions capable of handling large datasets Implement end-to-end ETL pipelines using Azure Data Factory and other cloud technologies Collaborate directly with business stakeholders to understand their analytical needs Ensure data quality and integrity across all BI deliverables Provide technical troubleshooting and performance optimization for BI solutions Technical Skills Required Advanced expertise in PowerBI development, including complex data modeling and DAX formulations Strong proficiency in ETL design and implementation for large-scale data environments Extensive SQL knowledge including complex queries, stored procedures, and performance tuning Demonstrated experience with Azure cloud architecture and services Hands-on experience with Azure Data Factory, Dataverse, and Microsoft Fabric Working knowledge of Power Automate and Power Apps for extending BI solutions Experience with data governance implementation and best practices Cloud & Microsoft Platform Expertise Azure Data Factory: Hands-on experience building and optimizing data pipelines Microsoft Fabric: Practical knowledge of implementing analytics solutions Dataverse: Experience with data integration and storage capabilities Power Platform: Ability to develop solutions using Power Automate and Power Apps Qualifications Bachelors degree in computer science, Information Systems, or related field 5+ years of experience n Business Intelligence or data analytics roles 1-2 years of experience leading small teams or projects Proven track record of delivering complex BI solutions that meet business needs Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail Strong communication abilities to collaborate with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
