About the Role We are seeking a motivated Research Associate to join our multidisciplinary team of biotechnologists, chemists, and physicists. The role involves supporting ongoing R&D work on the production of human urine-based nutrient-rich fertilizers , with a focus on finalizing treatment protocols, ensuring regulatory compliance, and preparing documentation for Fertilizer Control Order (FCO) applications. Key Responsibilities Conduct lab-scale experiments on chemical stabilization, ozonation, and advanced oxidation processes. Collect, analyze, and document data on nutrient recovery, heavy metals, microbial safety, and fertilizer quality. Assist in optimizing protocols for pH control, struvite recovery, and product stabilization. Collaborate with the team to prepare standard operating procedures (SOPs) and technical dossiers. Support preparation of reports and application documents for FCO approval. Maintain accurate lab records and ensure compliance with safety protocols. Qualifications Master’s degree (or final-year postgraduate) in Chemistry, Biochemistry Strong experimental and analytical skills; prior lab or field research experience preferred. Good documentation, data analysis, and teamwork abilities. Interest in sustainable technologies and regulatory frameworks.
