Key Responsibilities Supplier & Farmer Network Management: Identify, evaluate, and onboard reliable suppliers, vendors, and farmer groups for commodity procurement. Build and maintain strong relationships with farmers, FPOs (Farmer Producer Organizations), and suppliers to ensure a steady supply of quality produce. Negotiate contracts, pricing, and terms with suppliers, ensuring fair trade practices and cost optimization. Conduct periodic supplier audits to assess compliance with quality, sustainability, and regulatory standards. Commodity Sourcing & Procurement Operations: Source agricultural commodities such as Red gram, Soyabean, Bengal gram, turmeric, or other required crops based on business needs. Coordinate with field teams to track crop cycles, yield forecasts, and procurement planning. Ensure timely procurement of raw materials to align with processing schedules and market demand. Maintain accurate procurement records, including contracts, invoices, and compliance documents. Cost & Budget Optimization: Analyze market trends, commodity pricing, and supply-demand dynamics to make informed procurement decisions. Work on cost reduction strategies by identifying alternative sourcing options and optimizing transportation. Track procurement expenditures and suggest cost-saving initiatives. Supply Chain & Logistics Coordination: Collaborate with warehouse and logistics teams to manage inventory, storage, and transportation. Plan logistics to ensure smooth and cost-effective movement of goods from farms to processing units or buyers. Monitor stock levels to prevent wastage or shortages. Data Management & Reporting Maintain supplier databases, procurement reports, and transaction records for transparency. Track and report key procurement metrics such as cost savings, supplier performance, and order fulfillment rates. Required Skills & Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field. 2-3 years of experience in procurement, purchasing, or supply chain management.
