Job Purpose: To operate and maintain plasma cutting machines (CNC/Manual) for cutting metal sheets/plates as per the daily production plan, ensuring required accuracy, productivity, and compliance with quality and safety standards. Key Responsibilities: Machine Operation Operate plasma cutting machine (CNC/Manual) as per the daily production plan. Understand technical drawings, nesting layouts, and cutting programs. Set and adjust cutting parameters (gas flow, speed, amperage, etc.) based on different materials and thicknesses. Quality & Accuracy Ensure measurement accuracy and edge quality of cut parts. Perform first-piece inspection to verify adherence to tolerances. Take immediate corrective actions in case of defects. Maintenance & Upkeep Conduct regular inspection and preventive maintenance of plasma cutting equipment. Replace consumables such as nozzles, electrodes, and shields on time. Report breakdowns or issues to the supervisor and maintenance team. Safety & Compliance Follow all safety rules (PPE, fume extraction, fire safety, etc.). Maintain cleanliness and organization in the workplace. Adhere to company quality, safety, and environmental standards. Qualifications & Skills: Education: ITI / Diploma (Mechanical, Fitter, or related trade). Experience: 2–4 years of experience operating CNC/Manual plasma cutting machines. Preference for candidates with knowledge of sheet metal fabrication and nesting software. Technical Skills: Knowledge of cutting parameters for MS, SS, and Aluminum. Ability to read and interpret technical drawings. Basic knowledge of machine maintenance. Soft Skills: Precision and attention to detail. Teamwork and coordination skills. Key Responsibilities: Operate CNC & VMC machines as per job requirement. Understand and interpret engineering drawings, job orders, and tool instructions. Set up tools and workpieces in the machine with proper clamping. Monitor machine operations and ensure quality output as per specifications. Perform basic offset corrections and tool changes under guidance. Carry out in-process inspection using measuring instruments (Vernier, Micrometer, Height Gauge, etc.).
