Objective: Procurement oversee the purchasing of technical goods and services for solar pump execution. They evaluate suppliers and negotiate purchase agreements with them, as well as maintain the inventory of supplies. Duties and Responsibilities To accomplish primary goal of procuring technical equipment for solar pump project execution and installation with overall documentations. Determine Needs To use technical knowledge to determine that the supplier facility has the machinery, components and supplies needed to efficiently, safely operate & scheduled delivery. Choose Suppliers To choose the appropriate suppliers to purchase from. Do extensive research, meet with salespeople and compares their products and prices. Negotiate Prices and Award Contracts To negotiate sales agreements to purchase the required products. To award contracts to the vendors, and continue to administer these contracts throughout. Manage Suppliers To manage supplier performance in terms of quality, cost, delivery, and responsiveness. To periodically review suppliers, and launch improvement programs where required...
