As an experienced candidate capable of working independently to handle end-to-end Australian Taxation and Financials, your role will involve various key responsibilities and duties. These include preparing Tax Returns (ITR/CTR/TTR/PTR) autonomously, classifying tax between R&M and Capital, creating depreciation schedules, compiling FBT return and records, ensuring compliance with Division 7A, analyzing Interim and year-end accounts and financial statements, preparing tax statements, financial statements, and BAS statements at required intervals, meeting deadlines for clients, staying updated with tax rules from the Australian Taxation Office (ATO), preparing business income tax returns and statements for audits, managing STP and super stream, utilizing popular software like Xero, QuickBooks, MYOB, or NetSuite Online for Australian tax, coordinating with Australian clients and third parties through calls and emails, and effectively liaising with ATO, OSR, and Clients for smooth workflow handling. To excel in this role, you should possess a minimum of 3 years of experience in business tax and advisory Australia accounting, a strong understanding of Australian tax laws and regulations, proven expertise in preparing income tax returns and financial statements for various entities, and ideally experience with self-managed superannuation funds (SMSFs). Proficiency in accounting software such as Xero, MYOB, QBO, and Microsoft Office Suite, along with excellent communication and interpersonal skills, will be essential for success. You will be required to communicate effectively in English, both written and verbal, and directly engage with Australia/NZ clients over the phone. Academic qualifications consist of a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Accounting, with a mandatory minimum of 1 year of end-to-end Australian Tax accounting experience.
