Job Description: Chartered Accountant (India-Based, Remote)Job Summary We are looking for a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) based in India with strong experience in contract management, accounting, compliance, and financial operations, preferably with exposure to U.S.-based clients and regulations. This part-time, remote role supports legal and financial teams in navigating complex financial transactions and contracts. The ideal candidate will be highly proficient in QuickBooks Online, Microsoft Excel, and contract lifecycle management, and be a self-starter who thrives in a remote setting. Key Responsibilities · Review and manage financial, vendor, and service contracts in line with legal and operational standards. · Coordinate full-cycle contract processes, including drafting, negotiations, and execution. · Monitor and ensure compliance with U.S. financial and regulatory standards and internal controls. · Track and evaluate changes in financial legislation and their impact on existing contracts. · Respond to internal and external inquiries regarding financial documentation and agreements. · Support audit processes with thorough documentation and compliance reporting. · Liaise with finance and legal departments to align on contract terms, deliverables, and risk mitigation. · Maintain and organize digital records of all contracts and financial compliance materials. · Oversee the duties of the accounting team. · Implement accounting systems and processes. · Reconcile income statements. · Prepare monthly financial reports. · Control the master data of the general ledger. · Ensure compliance with state revenue service. · Provide ongoing accounting and reporting support. · Manage the full financial process. · Prepare an expense budget report. Required Skills and Qualifications · Certified Chartered Accountant (CA) from ICAI or equivalent CPA-recognized certification valid in India. · Minimum 5 years of post-qualification experience in accounting and contract management. · 2+ years of experience managing contracts with U.S.-based clients or multinational settings. · Advanced QuickBooks Online proficiency (certification preferred or must be willing to obtain). · Strong expertise in Microsoft Office Suite: Excel (advanced formulas and pivots), Word, PowerPoint, Outlook. · Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, or a related discipline. · Excellent English communication skills, both written and verbal; must be proficient in English. · Demonstrated ability to work independently and meet deadlines in a virtual environment. · Strong analytical thinking, problem-solving skills, and attention to detail. Preferred Qualifications · Master’s degree (MBA/LLM) or diploma in Business Administration, Financial Law, or Contract Management. · Exposure to sectors like real estate, education, financial services, or legal operations. · Experience with compliance platforms (e.g., Xero, Zoho Books, Gusto) or ERP systems. · Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams in global organizations.
