Job Description

Role Overview: As a skilled Data Scientist at our company, your main responsibility will be to utilize your expertise in machine learning, statistical modeling, and business-focused analytics to contribute to the growth of our data science team. You will be expected to build predictive models, conduct time-series forecasting, and develop optimization solutions using tools such as Python, SQL, and Azure ML or Databricks. Additionally, your strong communication skills will play a vital role in translating complex data into clear business insights for the success of the team. Key Responsibilities: - Analyze large, complex datasets to uncover actionable insights driving business impact. - Design and implement predictive models, particularly focusing on customer penetration optimization and regional performance forecasting. - Apply machine learning techniques (supervised and unsupervised learning) to solve critical business problems like classification, regression, and clustering. - Engineer meaningful features from raw data to enhance model performance. - Conduct exploratory data analysis (EDA) to identify trends, anomalies, and business opportunities. - Perform feature selection and hyperparameter tuning to improve model performance. - Validate model results using appropriate statistical and ML evaluation metrics. - Collaborate with data engineers to build and refine robust data pipelines. - Translate insights into clear, actionable strategies by collaborating across product, engineering, and business teams. - Utilize visualization tools such as Tableau, Power BI, and Google Analytics to communicate insights and model outcomes. - Develop models for production deployment using tools like Spring Boot and GitLab. - Consider partner-specific (JV & Wholesale) and regional variations to fine-tune analytics approaches. - Stay updated with ML/AI innovations and suggest tool or process improvements. - Participate in Agile ceremonies and manage tasks using tools like Jira. - Document methodologies and maintain version control for all modeling projects. Qualification Required: - 5+ years of experience as a Data Scientist or in a similar role. - Telecom industry experience (2-4 years) is highly preferred. - Proficiency in machine learning algorithms, statistical concepts, and data analysis methodologies. - Experience with programming languages like Python or R and data science libraries. - Familiarity with big data technologies and cloud computing platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP). - Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field; Master's degree preferred. - Proven track record of delivering data science projects from ideation to production. - Strong communication skills and the ability to convey compelling stories with data. - Comfort working with structured and unstructured data sets.
