Description
As a Battery Lead at our company in Bangalore, you will play a crucial role in the design and development of Battery pack assembly. Your responsibilities will include leading a team of mechanical engineers through various activities to ensure product concept and architecture definition, safe packing of batteries, electronics integration, thermal management, ease of installation, and more. Your expertise will be instrumental in driving the industry forward. Key Responsibilities: - Lead and direct mechanical design engineers throughout the full life cycle product development process. - Collaborate with cross-functional teams to meet product performance, aesthetic, schedule, cost, reliability, and quality objectives. - Conduct detailed reviews of mechanical systems and components, such as plastic, metal, sheet metal parts, connectors, insulators, wire harnesses, fasteners, and electronic assemblies. - Perform and oversee detailed mechanical design analysis, including thermal, structural, design for assembly, and design for test. - Establish and manage product and component design requirements. - Develop and execute hardware validation plans. Qualification Required: - BE or higher degree in Mechanical Engineering (MSME/ MBA preferred). - Minimum 3 years of relevant work experience, including at least 1 year in management with direct reports. - In-depth knowledge of the material science of components used in mechanical design, including metals, plastics, insulators, connectors, and gaskets. - Profound understanding of component and product failure modes. - Expertise in various component fabrication methods. - Experience in integrating and packaging electronic assemblies. - Proficiency in using 3D mechanical design and analysis tools. - Familiarity with medium to high volume Design for Test (DFT) and Design for Manufacturing (DFM) principles. In this role, you are expected to have at least 5 years of experience in the field to effectively contribute to our dynamic team.,
