This role emphasizes expertise in DevOps practices, advanced scripting, containerization, and reporting, while requiring a foundational understanding of SCADA and OEE systems. Key Responsibilities Design and architect scalable, secure and efficient information solutions across OT and IT layers. Lead technical development from design to deployment, ensuring performance, maintainability, and documentation. Develop and maintain automated pipelines using DevOps tools (e.g., GitHub, Jenkins, Docker, Azure DevOps). Write and maintain complex scripts (preferably in Python) for data processing, integration, and automation. Design and deploy dynamic dashboards and reports using Power BI, Tableau, or custom reporting tools. Collaborate with automation, IT, and business teams to translate industrial requirements into digital solutions. Integrate and contextualize data from SCADA systems, PLCs, historians, and databases. Guide implementation of OEE metrics and performance dashboards. Apply best practices for source control (Git/GitHub) and containerization (Docker) in project workflows. Stay informed on emerging technologies and suggest improvements to existing architectures. Required Skills & Qualifications Bachelors or masters degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related discipline. 12+ years of experience in IT-centric roles within industrial automation or digital transformation projects. Proficiency in Python (preferred), with additional scripting languages like JavaScript or PowerShell being a plus. Strong hands-on experience with Git, GitHub, and Docker. Experience with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps tools (e.g., Jenkins, Azure DevOps). Solid understanding of data acquisition, data modeling, and industrial reporting. Basic familiarity with SCADA systems (Ignition, Wonderware, WinCC, etc.) and protocols (OPC UA, MQTT). Knowledge of OEE principles and experience integrating OEE data into dashboards. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Preferred Qualifications Exposure to cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, or GCP). Familiarity with industrial databases (SQL Server, OSIsoft PI). Experience with data governance, security, and compliance in industrial IT environments. Job Description: As a Senior SCADA Engineer in the Information Solutions team, you will have overall responsibility to lead and develop projects with clients across multiple industry sectors primarily focused on the Information Solutions scope. This scope can include projects related to SCADA, reporting, IoT, data collection, reporting, or analytics. Education: Bachelor of Engineering - Computer Science or Electronics & Communication Engineering or Instrumentation and controls / Engineering preferred or equivalent experience. Work Location : Chennai Requirements: 4+ years of System Integration, SCADA and/or MES application development. Candidates with experience in the food and beverage or life science industries are added advantage, Hands on experience in Designing control/SCADA systems including databases and database interfaces, data analytics & reporting, scripting (VB, python, SQL etc.) and general programming Requires strong fluency in at least two of the following SCADA platforms: Ignition, Rockwell, Wonderware, or GE.
