Job Title: Risk & Compliance officer Reporting To: Board of Directors Job Summary: We are looking for a highly experienced and detail-driven Risk & Compliance Officer to lead and manage audit and compliance functions across the organisation. This role is crucial in ensuring full readiness and adherence to ACS, SIA, BS7858, Cyber Essentials, and ISO 9001, 14001, and 45001 standards. The ideal candidate will bring strong analytical thinking, deep familiarity with regulatory audits, and the ability to drive documentation, gap analysis, and compliance reporting across all business functions. Key Responsibilities: • Lead the audit and documentation of internal processes across departments to identify inefficiencies, risks, or non-compliance. • Ensure continuous audit-readiness for ACS, SIA, Cyber Essentials, and ISO 9001, 14001, 45001 certifications. • Monitor and enforce compliance with BS 7858 screening standards, ensuring all vetting files are complete and audit ready. • Plan, coordinate, and support internal and external audits including document preparation, audit walkthroughs, and follow-ups. • Identify and implement process improvements and internal controls to mitigate risks and enhance compliance. • Track audit observations and ensure timely closure through coordination with relevant teams. • Provide clear and structured audit reports and summaries to management. • Stay current with updates in relevant standards and regulatory requirements. Mandatory Requirements: Minimum 10 years of experience in auditing, compliance, or operational process improvement, preferably within security services or related sectors. In-depth knowledge of BS7858 standards, including audit documentation management and process reporting. Demonstrated attention to detail with a structured and analytical approach to work. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, documentation tools, and audit reporting platforms. Excellent communication skills both written and verbal with the ability to collaborate effectively across departments and engage with stakeholders at all levels. Preferred Qualifications : A Masters degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, Quality Management, or a related discipline. Prior experience supporting ACS (Approved Contractor Scheme), SIA (Security Industry Authority), ISO certification processes, and Cyber Essentials audits.
