Role & responsibilities Job Summary: We are looking for a skilled Desktop Support Engineer to join our IT support team. The candidate will be responsible for providing technical assistance and support to end-users for hardware, software, and network-related issues. Key Responsibilities: Install, configure, and troubleshoot desktop/laptop hardware, software, and peripherals. Respond to technical support tickets and resolve user issues in a timely manner. Provide support for Windows/Mac operating systems and Microsoft Office applications. Setup and maintain user accounts, permissions, and passwords in Active Directory. Support network printers, scanners, and other IT equipment. Troubleshoot basic LAN/WAN connectivity issues. Perform system upgrades, patches, and routine maintenance. Maintain inventory of IT assets and ensure compliance with company IT policies. Assist in onboarding/offboarding employees from an IT perspective. Provide remote support using tools like TeamViewer, AnyDesk, or Remote Desktop. Required Skills & Qualifications: Bachelor's degree or diploma in Computer Science, IT, or a related field. 14 years of experience in desktop support or a similar role. Strong knowledge of Windows 10/11 and Office 365. Familiarity with Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and basic networking. Excellent troubleshooting, communication, and interpersonal skills. Ability to work independently and in a team environment. ITIL Foundation certification (optional but preferred). Experience with ticketing systems like ServiceNow or Jira is a plus.
