Job Summary: We are looking for a proactive Stores & Dispatch Manager to manage inventory, material handling, and outbound logistics. The ideal candidate will ensure efficient storekeeping, accurate stock management, and timely dispatch of materials or finished goods in alignment with production and customer requirements. Key Responsibilities: Stores Management: Manage receipt, storage, and issue of raw materials, tools, spares, and consumables. Maintain accurate inventory records using ERP (SAP/Oracle or similar). Ensure proper documentation (GRN, issue slips, return notes, etc.). Coordinate with procurement, production, and maintenance teams for material availability. Implement 5S and safety practices in store areas. Conduct periodic stock audits and reconcile with system records. Identify and handle slow-moving or obsolete inventory as per policy. Dispatch Operations: Plan and execute dispatch of finished goods and project materials. Prepare and verify dispatch documents (delivery challans, packing lists, invoices). Coordinate with transporters/logistics for timely deliveries. Ensure proper packing, labeling, and safe loading of materials. Maintain dispatch records and provide updates to clients/project teams. Ensure compliance with shipping, safety, and regulatory norms. Qualifications & Skills: Bachelors degree in Engineering, Logistics, or related field. 5+ years of experience in storekeeping and dispatch in a manufacturing/engineering setup. Strong knowledge of inventory control and dispatch processes. Proficiency in ERP systems and MS Excel. Good communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills. Familiarity with ISO and safety standards.
Schedule Management: Prepare and update production schedules based on pending orders, ensuring timely completion. Raw Material Planning: Plan raw material requirements and follow up with the purchasing team for timely procurement. Monthly Production Planning: Develop and maintain a detailed monthly production schedule aligned with the overall production plan. Material Coordination: Ensure timely delivery of castings, electrical, and electronic materials to the manufacturing team as per the schedule. Subcontractor Coordination: Plan, monitor, and follow up on outsourced activities (machining, painting, assembly) to align with production timelines.
