The IBR compliance specialist will be responsible for ensuring that all boiler and pressure vessel manufacturing processes meet the standards and requirements set by the Indian Boiler Regulations. Day-to-day tasks will include inspecting equipment, conducting compliance audits, preparing regulatory reports, and coordinating with regulatory bodies. We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Quality Engineer with 4–5 years of experience in the manufacturing industry. The candidate will be responsible for carrying out inward inspection, in-process inspection, and pre-dispatch inspection of materials and finished products. The role requires hands-on knowledge of quality tools, QMS practices, ISO standards, and Six Sigma methodologies, ensuring adherence to company and customer quality requirement Key Responsibilities Perform inward inspection of raw materials, bought-out components, and vendor-supplied parts. Conduct in-process inspections at various stages of production to ensure product conformity. Carry out pre-dispatch inspections and ensure final product compliance with specifications. Use quality tools (7 QC tools, root cause analysis, Pareto, etc.) for problem-solving and process improvements. Support implementation and maintenance of QMS (ISO 9001 / relevant standards) across the organization. Prepare and maintain inspection reports, quality records, and checklists. Monitor and analyze non-conformances, initiate corrective and preventive actions (CAPA). Coordinate with Production, Design, and Procurement teams for resolving quality issues. Participate in internal audits, supplier audits, and customer quality audits. Assist in implementation of Six Sigma / Lean tools to reduce rework, rejection, and improve process efficiency. Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and quality standards. Key Skills & Competencies Strong knowledge of manufacturing quality practices – inward, in-process, and final inspection. Familiarity with quality tools (7 QC tools, RCA, FMEA, Pareto, Control Charts, etc.). Hands-on experience with QMS, ISO standards, and documentation. Proficiency in MS office tools. Knowledge of Six Sigma concepts and basic Lean tools. Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications. Good analytical, problem-solving, and reporting skills. Strong communication and coordination skills across departments. Qualifications & Experience Diploma / Graduate in Mechanical / Production / Industrial Engineering. 4–5 years of experience in Quality Assurance / Quality Control in the manufacturing industry.
