Role Overview We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Senior Accountant to manage and oversee the daily accounting operations, compliance, and financial reporting of our organization. The ideal candidate will bring strong expertise from the IT/technology sector, demonstrate excellent command over accounting software, and ensure accuracy, compliance, and timely execution of all finance functions. Experience in startups will be considered an added advantage. Key Responsibilities Accounting & Financial Operations Manage day-to-day accounting functions including payables, receivables, billing, and ledger management . Ensure accurate and timely entry of invoices, vouchers, and financial transactions into the accounting system. Perform reconciliation of bank accounts, vendor accounts, and customer accounts . Compliance & Taxation Handle GST filings, reconciliations, and return submissions in compliance with statutory requirements. Manage TDS deductions, preparation, and filing of returns . Support statutory and internal audits, ensuring compliance with accounting standards, laws, and regulations . Payroll & Employee Accounting Process employee salaries and benefits entries in accounting software. Ensure compliance with PF, ESI, and other statutory requirements . Financial Reporting & Audit Assist in the preparation, finalization, and consolidation of financial statements . Support audit activities including coordination with auditors, reconciliations, and finalization of accounts . System & Process Efficiency Demonstrate strong working knowledge of accounting software such as Tally, ERP systems, and Xero . Recommend and implement improvements in accounting processes to enhance accuracy and efficiency. Preferred Skills & Competencies Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices , preferably from the IT industry . Hands-on experience with Tally, Xero, ERP systems . Proficiency in MS Excel and financial analysis tools . Excellent attention to detail, problem-solving ability, and analytical mindset. Strong communication and interpersonal skills for effective coordination with internal and external stakeholders. Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced/startup environment .
