Backend Intern

About the Role As a Backend Intern at our company, you will be responsible for working on building and enhancing APIs, database systems, and backend services utilizing Python and Django. Your main tasks will involve collaborating with a dynamic tech team to contribute to the development of real product features, all while gaining valuable experience in constructing scalable systems. What You'll Do You will collaborate closely with the backend team to create, test, and upkeep APIs using Python and Django. Additionally, you will focus on optimizing backend logic and database queries to ensure performance and scalability. A key part of your role will be working in conjunction with the product and frontend teams to seamlessly integrate features end-to-end. As part of your responsibilities, you will be expected to debug issues, write well-structured code, and keep technical documentation up to date. Furthermore, your participation in code reviews, team meetings, and product discussions will be essential. Requirements To qualify for this position, you must be available for an in-office internship lasting 3-6 months. Prior internship experience is beneficial. Proficiency in Python programming is a must, along with hands-on experience in Django or Django REST Framework. An understanding of RESTful APIs and relational databases such as MySQL and PostgreSQL is required. Familiarity with Git and version control tools is essential. Strong problem-solving skills and a strong desire to learn are qualities that we are looking for in potential candidates. Please note that the FRND team operates six days a week, with scheduled work on every 1st and 3rd Saturday.
