Backend Engineer

As a Backend Software Engineer at our company based in Gurugram, India, you will be responsible for taking a leadership role in achieving team goals and contributing to the overall design, architecture, development, quality, and production deployment of the team's systems. Your key responsibilities will include: - Designing and implementing robust, scalable, and maintainable backend solutions for complex scenarios - Collaborating effectively within your team and with cross-functional partners - Maintaining and improving the team's engineering practices - Proactively identifying areas of improvement in team systems, processes, and scalability - Leading by example in code quality and contributing significantly to code reviews - Helping monitor production systems, investigating potential issues, and leading efforts to resolve critical production challenges while maintaining a customer-centric approach Qualifications required for this role include: - 3 - 8 years of experience in backend software engineering roles - Extensive experience in C# and .Net ecosystem - Hands-on experience in SQL Server and database management - Experience with message queues or streaming platforms (e.g., RabbitMQ, SQS, Kafka) - Experience in writing unit tests, strong knowledge of design principles, data structures, and algorithms - Experience with microservices architecture - Ability to collaborate effectively and communicate technical concepts to diverse stakeholders - BSc/BE/B.Tech in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent degree Additionally, practical experience with Agile development methodologies, familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud), practical knowledge of non-relational databases (e.g., MongoDB), and experience in mentoring new hires and interns are considered a great advantage.
