Backend Engineer (Java + Python)
At rtifact, we're building the Intelligence Layer for Cloud, Support, and Reliability Engineering - a platform that unifies DevOps, Support, and SRE operations across cloud environments.We're looking for a Sr. Backend Engineer who's passionate about designing scalable systems, loves solving complex backend problems, and wants to be part of a team shaping the future of autonomous cloud operations.What You'll Do
- Design, build, and maintain scalable backend services using Java (Spring Boot) and Python (FastAPI / Flask).
- Work closely with AI, frontend, and platform teams to build features that power real-time insights and automation.
- Develop and integrate APIs, microservices, and event-driven systems.
- Collaborate on architecture, design reviews, and technical strategy discussions.
- Write clean, testable, and maintainable code following best practices.
- Deploy and monitor services in cloud environments (AWS / GCP / Azure).
- Optimize performance and reliability for large-scale distributed systems.
What We're Looking For
- 4-5 years of hands-on experience in backend development.
- Strong expertise in Java (Spring Boot) and good working knowledge of Python.
- Solid understanding of RESTful APIs, microservices, and distributed systems.
- Experience with databases - SQL (PostgreSQL, MySQL) and NoSQL (MongoDB, Redis).
- Familiarity with Docker, Kubernetes.
- Knowledge of Kafka / SQS / RabbitMQ for asynchronous processing is a plus.
- Exposure to cloud infrastructure.
- Strong problem-solving, debugging, and system design skills.
- Excellent communication skills and be able to participate in discussions with the customers.
Nice to Have
- Experience working with observability tools.
- Exposure to GraphQL APIs.
- Basic familiarity with AI or automation-driven workflows.
- Contributions to open-source or developer community projects.
