Backend App Dev Intern

Job Description: As a Backend Developer (Intern) for this role, you will be responsible for developing the backend services using TypeScript and Node.js to support the live order tracking screen. Your main focus will be on ensuring smooth real-time order and driver location updates by handling WebSocket connections, event-driven updates, and efficient communication between services using RabbitMQ, Redis, and Docker. Key Responsibilities: - Develop backend services utilizing Node.js + TypeScript with frameworks such as Express/NestJS. - Create and manage APIs for orders and live location tracking. - Implement backend logic for real-time updates on the live order tracking screen. - Utilize PostgreSQL + Prisma ORM for database queries and schema management. - Integrate RabbitMQ for inter-service communication. - Use Redis for caching and session management, specifically for live location updates. - Work with WebSockets to enable real-time communication between the server and client. - Implement Webhooks for event-driven integrations, like order status updates. - Build and maintain Dockerized microservices. - Collaborate closely with the Flutter frontend team to ensure seamless APIs. - Write clean, tested, and maintainable code. Qualifications Required: - Knowledge of TypeScript and Node.js. - Familiarity with PostgreSQL and Prisma ORM or similar technologies. - Understanding of RabbitMQ and message queues. - Experience with WebSockets for real-time updates. - Familiarity with Redis for caching and real-time data handling. - Basic knowledge of Docker and microservices. - Strong understanding of real-time system design. Additional Information: Currently, this internship is unpaid, lasting for 3 months with a flexible 24-hour work schedule in a fully remote setting.
