Back End Developer (Product domain)

As a Staff Software Engineer - Back End at Avensys, you will play a crucial role in leading the development of features, experiments, technical projects, and complex systems. You will act as a technical architect, mentor, and driver towards the right technology, while continuing to evolve the architecture and build better software. Your responsibilities will also include contributing to agile and scrum practices, collaborating with other team members to build the best solutions, and constantly looking for ways to improve products, codebase, and development practices. Additionally, you will drive technical decisions within the organization. To succeed in this role, you will need: - 7+ years of experience developing performance-critical applications in Scala, Java, or C# - Experience leading projects, initiatives, or teams with full ownership of the systems involved - Familiarity with data platforms like SQL, Cassandra, or Hadoop - Strong understanding of algorithms and data structures - Excellent coding ability - Passion for software development and a commitment to continuous improvement - Strong verbal and written English communication skills It would be great if you also have experience with Scrum/Agile methodologies, building large-scale distributed products, and using core engineering infrastructure tools like Git, TeamCity, and Puppet. Hands-on experience with technologies like Kafka, RabbitMQ, Spark, Hadoop, NoSQL databases, Play framework, and Akka library will be an advantage.
