Back End Developer - Internship

As a Backend Intern at We Play India, you will be an integral part of our dynamic team dedicated to enhancing gaming experiences for players nationwide. Your role involves contributing to the development and maintenance of server-side components for our gaming platform. Working closely with experienced developers, you will assist in building core architecture, APIs, and services while gaining valuable hands-on experience in a fast-paced environment. Your responsibilities will include developing and maintaining scalable backend systems, collaborating with the engineering team to integrate third-party services, ensuring data integrity and performance in databases (SQL/NoSQL), and optimizing application performance, security, and scalability. Additionally, you will work with RESTful APIs, participate in code reviews, and debug server-side logic issues. To excel in this role, you should have a basic understanding of backend development using technologies like Node.js, Express, or NEST JS, familiarity with databases such as MongoDB and MySQL, knowledge of API development and integration, and strong problem-solving skills. Your eagerness to learn new technologies, adapt quickly to changing requirements, and work effectively in a collaborative team environment will be crucial. While prior experience in backend development is a plus, it is not mandatory. Familiarity with cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud, basic understanding of DevOps practices, and an interest in gaming or game development platforms are desirable qualities.
