Role Description
The Azure Data Engineer will work on-site in Bengaluru in a full-time capacity, designing and implementing data solutions on Microsoft Azure. This role involves building and maintaining data pipelines, configuring and optimizing Extract Transform Load (ETL) processes, and supporting data warehousing environments. The Azure Data Engineer will collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand data requirements, develop data models, and ensure data quality, security, and performance across systems. Day-to-day tasks include integrating data from multiple sources, monitoring and troubleshooting data workflows, and contributing to data analytics initiatives by preparing clean, well-structured datasets. The role also requires documenting technical solutions, adhering to governance standards, and suggesting improvements to existing data architectures.
Qualifications

Candidates should possess strong skills in Data Engineering and experience building scalable data pipelines on Azure.

Candidates should possess skills in Data Modeling and Data Warehousing for designing efficient, reliable data structures and repositories.

Candidates should possess skills in Extract Transform Load (ETL) for integrating, cleansing, and transforming data from diverse sources.

Candidates should possess skills in Data Analytics to support reporting, dashboards, and insights generation for business stakeholders.

Hands-on experience with Azure data services such as Azure Data Factory, Azure Synapse Analytics, Azure Databricks, and Azure SQL Database is highly beneficial.

Proficiency in SQL and at least one programming or scripting language (such as Python or Scala) for data manipulation and automation.

Knowledge of data governance, security, and compliance best practices, including role-based access and data privacy principles.

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.

Ability to collaborate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders, with strong problem-solving and communication skills.
