Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Engineering, Information
Systems, or related field. Master's degree is a plus.
- Experience:
- 7+ years of experience in Business Intelligence and Data Analytics
- 5+ years of hands-on experience with SQL Server Analysis Services
(SSAS)/Azure Analysis Services (AAS).
- 3+ years of advanced Power BI development experience (including DAX, M
query, and data modeling)
- Demonstrated success in architecting, deploying, and optimizing large-scale
tabular models
- Experience with Tableau is a plus
- Technical Skills:
- Tabular model design, partitioning, aggregations, security, and performance
tuning in Azure Analysis Services
- Power BI data modeling, DAX, and M Query
- Report and dashboard design and implementation
- Advanced SQL skills
- Experience creating data pipelines to feed data to Azure Analysis Services
and Power BI
- Strong understanding of both Azure Analysis Services and Power BI
architecture and data modeling best practices
- Real-world experience tuning Azure Analysis Services models for
performance
- Experience enabling AAS and Power BI role-based security
- Knowledge of CI/CD practices for BI solutions (Git, Azure DevOps)
- Familiarity with data governance principles, data quality monitoring, and
security protocols
- Soft Skills:
- Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work
effectively in a team-oriented environment
- Detail-oriented and committed to maintaining high data quality and reliability
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver results in a fast-paced
environment
Preferred Qualifications
- Certifications: Azure Analysis Services and/or Power BI certification
- Additional Skills: Experience in CI/CD practices for deploying Azure Analysis
Services and Power BI models and changes
