Role & responsibilities We are seeking a talented and motivated Python Developer to join our founding team in India. This role is central to building scalable, high-performance backend services and APIs that power our AI platform and products. As an early member of our India engineering team, you will work closely with Data Engineers, ML Engineers, and DevOps to design and implement reliable systems that power our AI products Responsibilities Backend Development & Integration Design, develop, and maintain modular Python applications and APIs that integrate seamlessly with the Axyo platform. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to productionize machine learning models and data workflows. Develop reusable utilities, SDKs, and microservices to streamline product development. Automate data ingestion, transformation, and monitoring pipelines using Python and cloud-native tools. Build and maintain robust unit and integration test frameworks. Technical Excellence & Collaboration Follow best practices in software design, CI/CD, and version control (Git, Code Build, Code Pipeline, etc.). Optimize code performance, scalability, and maintainability. Participate in design discussions, peer code reviews, and architecture planning sessions. Stay current with advancements in Python, API frameworks, and cloud technologies Preferred candidate profile Bachelors or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field. 8+ years of hands-on experience in backend or full-stack development using Python. Strong understanding of OOP principles, REST API design, and microservice architecture. Proficiency in frameworks such as FastAPI, Flask, or Django, sqlalchemy. Experience with AWS services (Lambda, S3, SQS, Airflow, ECS, CloudWatch, API Gateway). Familiarity with databases (PostgreSQL, DynamoDB, Redis, or similar). Understanding of CI/CD pipelines, containerization (Docker), and Git workflows. Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and a collaborative mindset
