Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

Design, implement, and manage security controls in
AWS
cloud environments.
Develop and enforce policies using
Terraform Sentinel
and
OPA Gatekeeper
.
Integrate security best practices within
CI/CD pipelines
using
GitHub Actions
, PR checks, and other automation tools.
Collaborate with DevOps and Cloud Engineering teams to assess infrastructure risks and provide mitigation strategies.
Implement fine-grained access controls using
IAM roles
, policies, and least-privilege principles.
Support secure architecture and design for cloud workloads including VPCs, security groups, data storage, and encryption.
Monitor and respond to security incidents and perform root cause analysis.
Automate compliance checks and maintain adherence to standards (e.g., CIS benchmarks, NIST).
Provide security guidance and mentorship in one or more specialization areas:
IAM
,
Cloud Infrastructure Security
,
Data Protection
, or
Network Security
.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

5+ years of experience in AWS cloud security or a related field.
Strong experience with
Terraform
,
Terraform Sentinel
, and policy-as-code.
Proficient with
OPA Gatekeeper
and Kubernetes admission control policies.
Hands-on experience with
GitHub
, including GitHub Actions and secure code workflows.
Deep understanding of IAM concepts and implementation in AWS.
Strong understanding of cloud network architecture and security (e.g., security groups, NACLs, VPCs).
Familiarity with data protection techniques including encryption at rest/in transit, and key management (KMS).
Excellent scripting skills (Python, Bash, etc.) for automation and tooling.
Familiarity with compliance standards (e.g., SOC 2, HIPAA, ISO 27001).
