AWS Data Engineer

As a Data Engineer at Iris Software, you will play a crucial role in developing and maintaining the overall data architecture to ensure scalability, performance, and data quality. Your expertise in using AWS data services such as AWS Glue, S3, Dynamo DB, Redshift, and others will be instrumental in designing and implementing data warehouses and data lakes on AWS. You will be responsible for building efficient data pipelines to extract, transform, and load data from various sources while implementing data quality frameworks to ensure accuracy, completeness, and consistency. You will leverage your strong understanding of data warehousing and data lake concepts, along with proficiency in SQL and at least one programming language (Python/Pyspark), to optimize data engineering solutions for performance, cost-efficiency, and scalability on the AWS cloud. Experience with big data technologies like Hadoop, Spark, and Kafka will be a plus, and knowledge of data modeling and data quality best practices will be essential for success in this role. As part of the Iris Software team, you will have the opportunity to work independently and collaboratively, utilizing your problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills to excel in data engineering roles. A bachelors degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field, along with 4-5 years of relevant experience, are required qualifications. Additionally, certifications in AWS Certified Data Analytics - Specialty or AWS Certified Solutions Architect - Data will be preferred qualifications.
