Role & responsibilities

• Championing

  migration

  and public cloud use latest technologies/tools and champion new ways to complete migrations to reduce cost, risk and friction for the business.
• Adhere to the Well-Architected Framework key principles for cloud solutions.
• Actively participate in developing and improving our migration/technology partnerships to benefit cloud migrations and deliver positive business outcomes.
• Responsibility for the technical aspects of IT migration, relocation and integration projects.
• Reducing Total Cost of Ownership through innovative use of public cloud and other mechanisms.
• Work with the IT management team to improve the BCP/DR capabilities of our public cloud.
• Ensure successful delivery of all assigned technical aspects of the project, that the work is performed to a high standard, in accordance with the project plan and project budget and pro-active engagement and communication is maintained with all key stakeholders.
• Identification of key performance indicators, regular reviews of performance against any set KPIs and regular reporting against agreed service levels.
• Ensure all agreed SLAs are met, both internally and externally, and ensuring any breaches, failures or incidents are escalated and managed appropriately.
• Monitoring and reporting on service performance and trend identification, provide recommendations on any remedial activity or required improvement plans.
• Provide 3rd line technical support for service issue escalations from the IT Helpdesk and internal teams, including user guides training and knowledge sharing as required.

Requirements:

• Minimum 5 years relevant experience in cloud computing.
• Experience in workload assessment and developing migration options
• Expertise in Cloud automation techniques and tooling
• Experience working with or alongside development teams
• Good working knowledge of Infrastructure-as-Code technologies and principles
• Financial operations (FinOps)
• Deep technical understanding of cloud-native architecture
• DevOps methodologies CI\CD pipelines
• Understanding of on-prem data centre infrastructure architecture
• AWS certification (e.g. AWS Solutions Architect Associate, Professional or SysOps)
