Title: Finance Associate Ahmedabad Company profile: Awaaz.De is a fintech startup in Ahmedabad expanding access to finance for India’s underbanked. Top banks and NBFCs including Axis, Ujjivan, and Fullerton use our SaaS platform for mobile communication to service and acquire last-mile customers at a 90% lower cost than telecalling. Via automated voice messaging in 11 languages, we currently reach 1 Cr. monthly active listeners pan-India, a 5X YoY increase. Awaaz.De is funded by Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation and IIM-A CIIE.CO, with investment syndicated by Aavishkaar-Intellecap Group. Moreover, our technology is based on CEO Dr. Neil Patel’s Stanford U. Computer Science Ph.D. research and is shown by a Harvard University study to yield a 10X social impact ROI. Key Responsibilities: Responsible for monthly maintenance and closing books of account, preparations of month-end GST & TDS compliances & working Examine monthly and yearly financial and accounting records, compile data, and support monthly financial reviews and yearly audits. Raise invoices and manage vendor payments, monthly payroll processing, reconciliation of the accounts receivables and payables to optimize cash management Working with the statutory auditor to address their queries, ensuring timely signing of audited books of account. Supporting Information Security Audits. Managing external communications related to legal compliance and follow up as may be required. Leading operational responsibilities such as travel bookings, performance appraisals, and team member onboarding and offboarding. Directly report to Awaaz.De’s Finance Manager and plan weekly workplans. Qualification / Experience Required: Awaaz.De is open to candidates of all backgrounds. Ideally, you have: Qualification - CA (preferred), CA - Inter or MBA - Finance Working knowledge of TDS and GST laws Experience in financial analysis, financial planning & budgeting, monitoring revenue and cost control. Goal-oriented mindset and independent resource with very strong attention to detail. Excellent proficiency with MS excel and word is a must Clear, consistent and professional degree of communication (in person as well as via phone and e-mail). 1-2 years of experience working in a relevant field (such as Finance, accounts) Strong verbal and written English language communications skills Preferred Requirements (Nice to Haves): If you find number crunching exciting and loves to crunch numbers of financial statements Experience working in a startup environment requiring hustle and self-direction Location: Ahmedabad Compensation: Rs. 25,000 - 40,000/month or commensurate with experience and value to the company.
