You are being offered an exciting opportunity to join our Client in the Mutual Fund Industry as an AVP Software Development (Team Lead) with a minimum of 8 years of experience in development. As the AVP Software Development (Team Lead), you will be responsible for leading our development function, demonstrating expertise in PHP Laravel, and showcasing your leadership skills by overseeing development teams and ensuring successful project delivery. Your role will involve actively participating in coding and architectural decisions, managing team performance, prioritizing tasks, coordinating projects, and ensuring alignment with business objectives and regulatory standards. The ideal candidate for this position will possess a blend of deep technical knowledge, strong leadership capabilities, a process-driven mindset, and a keen focus on innovation, automation, and accelerating delivery processes. Your key responsibilities will include driving end-to-end development using PHP Laravel with a keen eye on quality, scalability, and performance. You will collaborate closely with frontend, mobile, and DevOps teams to ensure seamless delivery. Additionally, you will guide the team on best practices, coding standards, and architectural choices, as well as own project planning, task allocation, and delivery tracking. It will be crucial for you to maintain effective collaboration with various stakeholders including business units, QA teams, infrastructure teams, and external partners. In this role, you will continuously work towards optimizing processes to enhance delivery speed through automation and reusable components. Ensuring compliance with SEBI regulations, IT audits, VAPT, and data security requirements will be a critical aspect of your responsibilities. Furthermore, you will play a key role in mentoring and upskilling team members to drive technical excellence and foster an environment of innovation. Qualifications & Experience: - Bachelor's/Masters in Computer Science, IT, or a related field. - Minimum of 8 years of development experience, with at least 2-3 years in a leadership position. - Certifications in Laravel, DevOps, or Project Management would be advantageous. Technical Skills: - Proficiency in PHP, Laravel, MySQL, API Development (REST/SOAP), Git, and DevOps (CI/CD, Docker, Cloud). - Additional knowledge in ReactJS, VueJS, Flutter/React Native (basic) would be a bonus. Process Skills: - Strong understanding of SDLC, Agile methodologies, and IT governance. Domain Expertise: - Experience in BFSI/FinTech/regulated sectors, preferably SEBI-regulated. Leadership Skills: - Demonstrated abilities in team management, task prioritization, cross-functional collaboration, and performance monitoring. Innovation Focus: - Emphasis on process optimization, automation, and reusable components to expedite delivery.
