AVP - L2 Surveillance

As an AVP - L2 Surveillance at HSBC, you will play a crucial role in the International Wealth and Premier Banking (IWPB) Surveillance team. Your responsibilities will include: - Performing trade surveillance on order flow from private banking, retail customers, and asset management fund managers across various asset classes - Reviewing e-communications surveillance alerts for potential market abuse and misconduct - Contributing to enhancing investigatory capabilities by identifying new data sources and investigative techniques - Testing and calibrating surveillance systems to ensure identification of market abuse risks - Drafting regulatory filings based on evidence from surveillance investigations - Coordinating with colleagues to promote best practices and consistency - Building strong relationships with stakeholders and colleagues - Supporting strategic initiatives for next-generation trade surveillance capabilities - Engaging with various teams within the organization - Contributing to general governance and administrative responsibilities of the team Qualifications required for this role include: - Possession of an inquisitive and investigative mindset - Ability to analyze and present complex information clearly - Strong interpersonal and stakeholder engagement skills - Self-motivated and comfortable working collaboratively - Understanding of financial markets and regulations, particularly in equities, fixed income, and derivatives - Experience in dealing/trading environment is preferable - Experience in surveillance monitoring or investigative function is preferable - International work experience is an advantage - Knowledge of surveillance tools such as TradingHub, Bloomberg Transaction Cost Analysis (BTCA), and Digital Reasoning is a plus - Additional language proficiency is beneficial Joining HSBC will provide you with the opportunity to make a real impact and contribute to the success of the organization.
