As an Assistant Vice President (AVP) in the Financial Business Partner (FBP) role at Barclays, your primary responsibility will be to provide financial expertise and support to specific business units or departments within the organization. You will serve as a liaison between the finance function and various business units, assisting in bridging the gap between financial data and business decisions. Your role will involve: - Development and implementation of business unit financial strategies, plans, and budgets, utilizing insights to evaluate the financial implications of strategic initiatives and recommend appropriate actions. - Creating financial models to forecast future performance, assess investment opportunities, and evaluate financial risks for business units. Analyzing the impact of business decisions on financial performance and providing recommendations. - Collaborating cross-functionally to offer financial insights and guidance to business unit stakeholders. - Identifying opportunities and implementing financial process improvements to streamline financial operations. - Supporting business units in identifying, assessing, and mitigating financial risks. Providing training and guidance on financial risk management and compliance practices. - Analyzing and presenting financial data to offer insights into business performance, identify trends, and support decision-making. In addition to the above responsibilities, successful candidates for this role should possess the following key skills: - In-depth technical knowledge and expertise in Finance. - Expertise in Financial planning, Vendor, D&A. - Experience in partnering with stakeholders and senior FBP's, assessing and mitigating financial risk. - Ability to advise and influence decision-making. - Identification of financial opportunities and implementation of process improvements. Other highly valued skills may include good interpersonal skills, effective written and verbal communication skills, and the ability to solve problems collaboratively as a team player.
