AVP, Cloud Cryptography Engineer

Role Overview: As an AVP, Cloud Cryptography Engineer at Synchrony, you will be a key member of the Information Security Cryptography Team, focusing on Cloud Security, Cryptography, Information Security, and Key/Secrets Management. Your role will involve advancing Cryptography, Key/Secrets Management multi-cloud platforms, services, systems, and best practices to protect and enable Synchrony's Information Security Engineering strategy at scale. Key Responsibilities: - Identify efficiencies and synergies through automation, collaboration, and orchestration to promote engineering excellence - Collaborate with architecture to identify capability gaps, develop requirements, and assist with testing solutions - Implement and provide technical support for a global cryptography program leveraging multi-cloud data protection capabilities - Maintain technology by ensuring proper change management, disaster recovery, and incident management processes - Play a hands-on role in implementing multi-cloud security measures to protect enterprise applications, systems, and networks - Act as a mentor or subject-matter expert to other Information Security team members - Serve as a SAFe Product Owner for cryptographic technologies, defining and maintaining the team backlog and product roadmap - Work closely with Information Security program manager, scrum master, and architects to convey technical impacts to development timeline and risks - Identify opportunities for process improvements and drive program delivery in collaboration with other teams - Perform day-to-day administration and support for multi-cloud infrastructure related to security tools and systems Qualification Required: - Graduation in Computer Science/other technical degree or Business Management with 4+ years of Information Security/Technology experience - Certifications in audit, big data, cloud, cybersecurity, and related areas - Proficient hands-on experience with API development, AWS, Azure, CI/CD pipelines, cryptography methodologies, databases, Git, Java, Linux, Python, and more - Excellent oral communication and writing skills Additional details about the company: Synchrony has been ranked among the top companies to work for in India and is committed to diversity and inclusion with a focus on career advancement and upskilling opportunities for employees.
