Job description for Plant Operatioons Head:- Looking for an accomplished and experienced person for this position, who will take care of day-to-day activity & overall Operations of printing & packaging Unit. Responsibility:- - Handling manpower, machinery, materials, entire operation of printing & packaging unit. - Develop short and long-term plans for production growth, efficiency with top class quality. - Target oriented planning with improvement plan on daily basis. - Day to day wastage analysis with action plan to achieve targets. - To monitor and ensure timely availability of all inputs. - Monitoring day to day Production planning for all machines. Estimation of materials to do the job. - Ensuring machine health and facility upkeep with team - To plan training to the existing & new crew for new machine/technology. - Planning and implementing quality improvement techniques in production. - Expertise in implementing cost saving measures to achieve substantial reduction in cost of production balancing the quality. - Must be well versed with ERP system, Microsoft Office and email to generate reports and leading the team. - To have Problem Solving and Analytical skills. - Responsible for P&L of the plant. - A strong communicator & team leader combined with flexible & detail-oriented attitude with ability to interact effectively with people. - Possessing excellent Self-initiative communication, relationship, man management Skills, Interpersonal and strong Execution Skills. - Heading the Entire Operation of Production lines. Responsibility included Production management, technical services and customer interphase, HR and IR management, continual improvement programs, systems and standards. - To establish and implement budgets, prepare reports on senior management, and ensure that the department complies with company policies. Managers also ensure that employees have the resources to complete their work. - Should have worked in both an office and plant environment in support of 7-day, 24-hour operation.
Establishment of in-house quality standards Achieve Quality goals / targets, Ensure periodic reporting of Quality Performance, Managing and providing feedback on complaints Handle technical complaints (Customers/Internal/Suppliers) ISO certification and audits Develop, Update and maintain all ISO documents. Assist MR functions, Knowledge on ISO 9001 ISO14001& IATF. Measuring Instruments Plan for new instruments, standards, gauges, and other appropriate measuring equipment s based on technical requirements, Handling Calibration Hands on experience in in APQP PPAP, FMEA, Control plan, SOP, Process flow Attending to line failures ensuring execution of CAPA to overcome the failure. Supplier Development Establish quality standards, systems, and training, assess performance, conduct audits, recommend improvements. Preparing MIS Reports (Weekly, Monthly Report, NC Report,) and process Analysis Charts Collect the data for the causes of process / mechanical problems and solve the problems on the machine. Ability to handle multiple tasks and set priorities. Implementing stringent systems and quality plans to ensure high quality standards at all the stages of production. Maintaining of 5 s activity, to ensuring safety, discipline, productivity in the shop floor. Training and Development of team
Source and procure raw materials, components, tools, consumables, and other items as per production requirements. Evaluate supplier quotations and negotiate terms to secure advantageous pricing and timely delivery. Create and manage purchase orders (POs), track deliveries, and ensure compliance with internal procurement policies. Maintain vendor database, contracts, and performance records. Coordinate with stores, quality, accounts, and production departments to ensure smooth procurement flow. Follow up with suppliers for delivery schedules, payment terms, and dispute resolution. Ensure adherence to cost budgets and identify opportunities for cost savings. Stay updated on market trends, new products, and potential suppliers. Assist in internal and external audits related to procurement.
