Role & responsibilities Execute civil and structural engineering design tasks as part of a project team, ensuring that all designs are in accordance with CLIENT standards and specifications. Assist in preparing civil engineering deliverables such as drawings, datasheets, specifications, and material requisitions. Perform calculations and analysis as required for the design of foundations, structural elements, and other civil engineering aspects in oil and gas projects. Review vendor drawings and technical submittals for compliance with project specifications and standards. Support the Senior Civil Engineer in coordinating and resolving interface issues with other engineering disciplines. Participate in technical reviews, design reviews, and 3D model reviews. Ensure the timely completion of tasks in line with project schedule and quality expectations. Follow established engineering practices and standards to ensure the safe and effective implementation of engineering solutions. As a Stress Engineer at Avenir International Engineers and Consultants Pvt Ltd, your main responsibilities will revolve around identifying stress packages by reviewing P&IDs and Line Designation tables. You will be conducting piping flexibility analysis for critical piping systems during both preliminary and detailed design phases of projects. This includes analyzing sustained, thermal, and multiple operating cases, as well as occasional scenarios like winds, seismic events, relief, and hammer impacts. Your role will also involve performing pipe stress analysis for various equipment such as Steam turbines, Compressors, Centrifugal Pumps, tanks, exchangers, heaters, and columns. Additionally, you will be involved in reviewing and checking designs, drawings, and data from suppliers. You will provide technical direction and assign work to engineers, designers, and drafters who are assisting on specific assignments. Your experience in working across different sectors like Power and Oil & Gas Projects will be valuable in this role. Reviewing and approving engineering drawings to ensure compliance with piping codes, ADNOC, and other specifications, as well as safety standards, will also be part of your duties. To excel in this position, you must possess knowledge of design codes and standards applicable to Pipe Stress Analysis design work. Proficiency in stress analysis software such as Caesar II is essential. Familiarity with design codes and standards relevant to Pipe Support design work, as well as expertise in support selection, is required. Depending on your experience level, you should have a minimum of 3-5 years of relevant Pipe Stress Engineer experience for Level 1 (Stress engineer) or a minimum of 8 years for Level 2 (Senior Stress engineer). Strong leadership, problem-solving, and communication skills are crucial for effective technical discussions, reporting, and project management.
