Role Overview The Phlebotomist cum Receptionist will manage front-desk operations, perform blood sample collection, coordinate doctor visits, and support society health checkup camps. The role requires excellent communication skills, strong phlebotomy expertise, and the ability to handle field responsibilities with professionalism. Key Responsibilities Phlebotomy & Sample Collection Perform blood sample collection (venipuncture) for walk-in, in-house, and home visit patients. Ensure accurate labeling, safe handling, and timely transportation of samples to the laboratory. Maintain aseptic techniques, follow biomedical waste disposal norms, and ensure cleanliness of collection areas. Prepare and pack samples as per guidelines for logistics pickup. Front Desk / Reception Duties Greet patients and assist with registration and appointment scheduling. Handle billing, invoicing, and payment collection. Manage patient queries regarding tests, sample instructions, and report availability. Maintain patient data in the system and coordinate with laboratory technicians and doctors. Answer calls, manage walk-ins, and maintain a smooth patient flow. Doctor Visit Coordination Coordinate and schedule doctor visits for elderly care facilities, home care, or partner clinics. Ensure all materials, forms, reports, and supplies needed for the doctor’s visit are prepared. Assist the doctor during visits when required, including documentation or patient coordination. Communicate follow-up instructions to patients and families. Society Health Checkup Camps Participate in planning and execution of health checkup camps in societies, corporates, and communities. Set up sample collection stations, registration desks, and test counters. Collect blood samples and assist camp visitors with their medical forms and test details. Coordinate with camp managers, residents, and internal teams to ensure smooth operations. Manage onsite billing, data entry, and reporting requirements. Skills & Competencies Strong phlebotomy skills with experience in venipuncture. Excellent communication and patient-handling skills. Ability to manage outdoor activities such as camps and doctor visits. Basic computer knowledge (Lab software, Excel, Email). Ability to multitask and manage time efficiently. Professional, polite, and service-oriented attitude. Qualifications Certification/Diploma in Phlebotomy or Medical Laboratory Technology (DMLT/CMLT). 1–3 years of experience in phlebotomy or diagnostic operations (preferred). Experience with health camps or home visits will be an added advantage. Additional Requirements Willingness to travel locally for doctor visits, home collections, and health camps. Flexibility to work in morning shifts and weekends when required. Strong sense of responsibility and adherence to safety protocols.
