Job Purpose To achieve monthly and quarterly sales targets by actively engaging in lead generation, customer interaction, and vehicle sales. The Sales Officer will represent Tata Motors’ brand values and ensure an excellent buying experience for every customer. Key Responsibilities 1. Sales & Target Achievement Meet or exceed monthly sales targets (retail and wholesale). Proactively identify potential customers through walk-ins, referrals, online leads, and corporate inquiries. Conduct test drives, demonstrations, and product presentations. Convert leads into sales through structured follow-ups and customer relationship management. 2. Customer Relationship Management Ensure seamless customer experience from inquiry to vehicle delivery. Maintain follow-up schedules via CRM tools Manage upselling/cross-selling opportunities for accessories, insurance, and AMC packages. Handle post-sale follow-up to enhance customer satisfaction and referral business. 3. Documentation & Compliance Ensure timely and accurate completion of all retail documentation, finance, and registration formalities. Coordinate with the delivery, finance, and accounts teams for smooth transactions. Maintain proper documentation for each sale as per dealership and OEM standards. 4. Market & Product Knowledge Stay updated on Tata Motors product range, features, variants, pricing, and competitor offerings. Provide detailed product knowledge to customers and suggest suitable options. Collect market intelligence on competition, customer preferences, and local trends. 5. Digital & Field Activities Participate in local sales promotions, display events, roadshows, and corporate tie-ups. Leverage WhatsApp, social media, and digital CRM tools for lead nurturing and customer engagement. Assist in executing dealership campaigns and monthly digital promotions. Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) Monthly retail target achievement (%). Test drives and inquiry-to-conversion ratio. Customer satisfaction score (CSI). Lead follow-up compliance (CRM usage rate). Accessory/insurance penetration rate. Candidate Profile Education: Graduate / Diploma (any discipline). MBA in Sales/Marketing preferred. Experience: 1–3 years of automobile sales (Tata, Mahindra, Maruti, Hyundai, Toyota, etc.) preferred; freshers with strong communication skills may apply. Skills Required: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Negotiation and closing ability. Customer-centric attitude. Familiarity with CRM software and MS Office.
