Automation Engineer - AI & Machine Learning Development Lead

As an Automation Engineer in AI & Machine Learning Development Lead at Astellas Pharma Inc., you will utilize your expertise in programming languages and tools to analyze business processes, formulate automation strategies, create efficient process automations, and provide training to end-users. Your role will be instrumental in enhancing and maintaining systems across the organization, contributing to the continuous improvement and delivery of critical IT solutions on a global scale. You will be responsible for designing and implementing robust applications for optimal speed using Python, developing automated workflows with Microsoft Power Automate, and identifying areas for workflow automation and optimization based on business process requirements. Additionally, collaborating with stakeholders to gather requirements, integrating user-facing workflow solutions, and monitoring workflow processes to ensure smooth operations will be key aspects of your role. Your qualifications should include a Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field, with 5-7 years of experience in Python/Automation tool development and Workflow Management. Proficiency in Python libraries, frameworks, and front-end technologies, as well as problem-solving skills, communication abilities, and analytical thinking will be essential for success in this position. Experience in the Life Sciences/Pharma/Manufacturing industry, agile practices, technical proficiency in various tools and languages, and certifications in automation platforms are preferred qualifications. This permanent position will be based in Bengaluru, India, with a hybrid work model of 2-3 days per week on-site. You will work in a global environment, collaborating across different time zones and regions as needed to support the demands of the organization.
