As an Automation and Manual Test Engineer with 34 years of experience, your role will involve a balanced skill set in manual testing and test automation, focusing primarily on web applications. Your proficiency in Ruby, Selenium, and Cucumber is crucial, along with a solid understanding of agile testing processes. Here are your key responsibilities: - Manual Testing: - Analyze user stories, requirements, and acceptance criteria to craft clear and comprehensive manual test cases. - Conduct functional, regression, smoke, and exploratory testing for web-based applications. - Identify, document, and track bugs using defect tracking tools like Jira. - Automation Testing: - Develop and implement test automation scripts utilizing Ruby, Selenium WebDriver, and Cucumber. - Enhance and maintain existing automation frameworks to ensure scalability and manageability. - Execute automated test suites within CI pipelines and provide reports on the outcomes. - Test Planning & Collaboration: - Collaborate with developers, product owners, and QA team members throughout the sprint lifecycle. - Contribute to sprint planning and retrospectives by offering test estimates and feedback. - Assist in identifying QA process enhancements and supporting their implementation. - Reporting & Documentation: - Maintain well-organized test documentation encompassing test plans, cases, and results. - Update project stakeholders on test status and report defects. - Aid in User Acceptance Testing (UAT) activities and release validation efforts.
