AutoDraft is expanding its creative team and looking for a talented Spine Animator / Editor who can help us design, refine, and scale the animation assets that power AutoDraft. Key Responsibilities Create New Animations: Develop high-quality 2D character animations using Spine or similar tools for integration into the AutoDraft platform. Improve Existing Animations: Review and enhance existing animation assets for smoother movements, better transitions, and consistent rigging quality. Character Structuring & Rigging: Build modular, reusable character rigs suitable for dynamic AI-driven animation pipelines. Prepare characters for optimal performance within the AutoDraft system. Expand Character Library: Design and animate a wide range of new characters (age, gender, body types, expressions, cultural diversity, etc.) to expand AutoDraft’s library. Collaboration: Work closely with the creative, development, and AI teams to ensure all animation assets are optimized for AutoDraft’s automated animation engine. Quality & Version Control: Maintain structured file naming conventions, organized folders, and documentation for all animation assets and iterations. Skills & Requirements Strong proficiency in Spine, DragonBones, or equivalent 2D skeletal animation software. Solid understanding of rigging, deformation, IK, mesh creation, and animation principles (timing, squash & stretch, anticipation, etc.). Experience with exporting animations (JSON, PNG, etc.) for integration with game engines or custom tools. Familiarity with Adobe Animate, Photoshop, or After Effects is a plus. Knowledge of AI-based or procedural animation systems (optional but desirable). Attention to detail and a strong artistic sense of motion and timing. Ability to work independently while collaborating in a fast-paced creative environment.
